1967 Mattel Matt Mason's Buddy, Sgt. Storm on Factory Sealed Card
Mattel launched the Matt Mason Man in Space series as the first non-violent (toy) exploratory mission. All equipment was used for exploration rather than as weapons. Even the aliens were extra-friendly. And like Barbie, each figure and accessory was sold separately with the exception of the Deluxe Space Station. I purchased this Sgt. Storm, Matt Mason's Space Buddy posable figure from the original owner. It's still factory sealed on its original bubble-card and has been stored since new. It includes Sgt. Storm in flexible space suit with helmet and Lunar Trac vehicle. The toy is sealed on its original card with its original transparent plastic bubble. It's never been resealed or played with. The card remains unpunched (hang tag circle still in place). Size: With card 8¼" x 5" x 2½". Sold: Mar. 2010
